WHAT A SUMMER

I didn't realize it had been this long sense I updated this site, Spencer has been on a role at Drag way 42 making into the finals the last 3 races winning 1 and runner up on the other 2, he seems to really be liking the track and the competition there, at Norwalk he is still hanging on to fifth place with 8 pts and 1 runner up but hasn't had much luck at that track the last two races so when we go back out on Sept 16th he hopes to make some rounds up as he has several people closing in on him and he says hes worked to hard to let that happen so we r hoping to get him more focused and ready to race. Hes really been working on his reaction time and that has helped Papa and Dad have gotten the car figured out matter of fact last norwalk race he red lit by.005 and ran dead on his dial OUCH, is right made loosing hurt even more... Anyways we have a race tomorrow at 42 and then a two week break but i am sure we will find some place to go and race as we are firm believers that if we keep him in that car than its better than a long break:) Thanks for looking.

LIL' INSTIGATOR GETS TOP AWARD

We are back from Bristol and boy was that a long 12 days with 650 kids with race cars, Don't get me wrong it was lots of fun but boy can that many kids together just wear you out, there were so many water fights and so on I think we went through a dozen of clothes changes a day.

Spencer's car won one of the most prestigious Honors of the Event which is the COOLEST CAR AWARD it goes to only one car out of all 650 there and they picked the LIL' INSTIGATOR car it is awarded by Best Appearing and Engineered and All around Appearance of racing gear and crew:) We were very proud and surprized as let me tell you there were lots of really nice cars on the grounds as well, he did a great job racing making to second round then of coarse we dialed the car wrong and the rest well its history but we are back home safe and sound and ready for another local points race this weekend.:) We would like to thank all of you who have helped us get to Finals and we will post more pictures soon:)

LIL' INSTIGATORS TIMES TWO

That's right Spencer's cousin Kiersten is home from North Carolina visiting for a few weeks and she has taken over the Pilot seat in Spencer's First Gator car which he moved out of at the start of the season, It was her first time ever racing the car and she did a great Job, She was a little nervous but she ran next to Spencer and we just told her to follow him and he was instructed to help her at the bottom end, they both did a great job, Spencer really did a great job trying to help Kiersten get the idea and not to be nervous.So now after 5 passes she is ADDICTED and will be back at it this Friday and Sat at Norwalk and then we head to Bristol for Nationals as soon as Spencer finishes up on SAT for a Mike Boss Challenge on Sunday , Time trials on Monday, Gamblers race on Tuesday, a day to rest Wednesday and Thursday begins the quest to conquer the Eastern Conference Finals, Spencer's mission is to Bring home a Wally so If everyone reading this post had good thoughts and says a prayer Just maybe we will have even more of a chance at a Great outcome, No matter what we will be spending the Next 10 days on the road ,at the races and spending time as a Family and that is just a time we will always remember years from now.
We would like to send out a Special thanks to all who have helped us raise extra Money to help with our fuel expenses heading to Bristol, it has been Greatly Appreciated. If your local and looking for a few Bargains we will be doing another Warehouse sale at 266 Cleveland road to help raising Money for the race. Wednesday 8am-6pm and Thursday 12pm-8pm, We will have tons of stuff from our old gift and scrapbook store and lots of little boys stuff. Oh one more thing to all those families that have more than one Junior Dragster to worry about at each race, My Heart goes out to you as its a bunch of work, thank goodness ours is just for two races:) I dont know how you all do it

Lil' Instigator is Headed to EFC in Bristol TN

Well its been a while but we are heading into points race number four coming up and Spencer is holding on to second place but has a few kids inching up on him. At the last race they choose the Bristol Team to Represent our Home track at Eastern Conference Finals which is pretty much the epidemy of the Nationals for Junior Dragsters they took the top 9 out of the two faster cars classes and 2 from the novis class which is the beginners. We were very excited to be going again this year and look forward to a summer vacation at a race track in Bristol. Seems like we do spend all our free time and family time at the racetrack but what can i say we all enjoy it .Except yesterday when it was in the 90's and my Lil' Guy was in a fire suit with a helmet on looking like he was trapped in a sauna, but he braved through it Thanks GOD for ice soaked towels for behind the neck:) I will post some new pictures later in the week but wanted to stop by here and let you know what was happening with Team Lil' Instigator:)

The New Car is Ready For Photos, Racer Not Thrilled!

Okay so the Paint job is done and Ready to be Photographed although the Lil' Instigator himself wasn't very thrilled so they aren't the best but we will do more later.The car is just missing the Amaile Logo which will go on after the paint set for 30days, it goes in the blank spot underneath Spencers Name along with A Hoosier Thunder Motor Sports Sticker which is Spencers Sponsor.

A big Huge thanks to Uncle Jim and Aunt Nicole for the countless Hours spent on the Paint Job , We hope you know how much it means to us and to the Racer himself, you have so help make his Dreams come true.:) No race this weekend due to rain out but back to Norwalk this weekend May 24th on Sat and off to see Terry Mcmillen The BIG GATOR run at IHRA Milan Motor City Nationals after we finish at Norwalk on Sat.

First Intermediate Race- Makes it to Final Round

Spencer Made his appearance for the First time in the New Class of Intermediate and had a great day, The car seemed to be running on and this is what we have wanted to happen for over two years, No regrets from us on having Spent a great deal for this new car when it made it to the Finals on its very first race. We were all very happy although in that final round it picked up a tad much and he broke out , but no one can complain when you move up to a faster class with a new car and can manage to enter the finals in the first race. GREAT JOB LIL INSTIGATOR ;)
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU. Our Next race is May 3rd at Norwalk and we are looking forward to a Great Season. It was fun to be able to see all our racing friends and catch up sense we all last talked back in January, the nice thing about racing is its like having a whole additional family that all understand what and why we let our kids race cars:)Until Next week :)

JUNIOR RACER RECIEVE HONORS

This has to be one of our proudest moments as parents and Grandparents of the Little Instigator this weekend we attended the Summit Motorsports Park 34th annual Awards Banquet and not only did Spencer receive his award for his Fourth Place over all Finish but he was surprisingly awarded the Best appearing in his class which was quite a surprise to him and us and we couldn't be more proud, I will attach the article from the race tracks website,

Over the course of the season, we take note of the appearance of the racers and their cars to see which ones stand out from the crowd. Sometimes our job in deciding who has the best looking car on the track in a given class is an easy one, but more often it’s not. After much consideration and hand wringing, we present the list of Best Appearing Car Awards for 2007. In the Half Scale Dragster/Bear Motorsports category, Spencer Lacy is the Novice winner, Matt Dadas is the Intermediate winner, and Nick Moss is the Advanced winner. The Koffel’s Place Comp Best Appearing Car for 2007 is Don Kinney, the Rislone Sportsman winner is Dave Geer, the Wiseco/Cycletech winner is Darren Ligouri, the Rislone Pro winner is Jared Cooper, and the Bars Leaks Super Pro winner is Phil Smida. Congratulations to all of the winners in a tightly contested field.

wow were we so shocked and his face was one that a mother will never forget to see that little face so surprised and shocked and proud all at once. We spent the whole weekend at kalahari with the racetrack and had a blast and we are off to yet one more banquet this coming weekend to pick up his second place trophy from Drag way 42 and if you ask the Lil' Instigator himself he will tell you hes most excited about that one because it states its a HUGE One:)
